Adding and removing tracks

Playlists hold whole tracks or specific versions, added and removed the same few ways — here's how, and who's allowed to.

To add a track, click its + (add to playlist) button — on the track's page, on its row on the Tracks page, or on a version — and pick a playlist. Or, from the playlist itself, click Add Tracks and search your project.

A playlist can hold whole tracks or specific versions:

  • Add a track and it always plays that track's current featured version — so the playlist follows along as the track evolves.
  • Add a specific version — with the + on a version's page or its row on the Versions page — and it stays pinned to that take.

See How versions work for more on featured versions.

To remove a track, open the three-dot menu on its row in the playlist and choose Remove from playlist.

You can add and remove tracks on your own playlists, and on any Collaborative playlist in your project.

Tip: hidden tracks quietly drop out of playlists. If a track you added disappears, check whether its status got set to Hidden — see Track statuses.
