Editing your profile and account details
Your name, photo, and bio live on your profile; your username, email, phone number, and preferences live in account settings. Here's what's where.
The two pages link to each other, so once you're on one, the other is a click away.
Your profile
Click Profile in the sidebar to open your profile page, then click Edit profile to change what other people see about you:
- Your profile photo and the cover image across the top of your profile. These save the moment you pick an image.
- Your first name, last name, location, and pronouns.
- A bio of up to 160 characters.
- Links to your Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Music.
Click Save changes when you're done with the text fields.
Account settings
Open the Settings & Help menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account settings for the rest:
- Username, Email address, and Phone number. Changing your email or phone sends a verification code to the new one before it takes effect.
- Notifications — which kinds you get. See Choosing your notification preferences.
- Appearance — Light, Dark, or System to follow your device.
- Delete account — permanently deletes your account and your data. You're signed out right away, and the deletion finishes within 30 days.
Tip: add your phone number and you can sign in to Dosido with a code sent by text.
Who can change your details
Only you can. Your profile belongs to your account, not to any project, so a project owner or admin can't edit your name, username, bio, or photo on your behalf — and you can't edit theirs. If a collaborator's details look wrong or out of date, ask them to update them.
The same goes the other way: changing your name or photo updates it everywhere you appear, in every project you're in at once.
