Inviting people to a project

How to create an invite link, what the person who opens it sees, and how to pull one back before it's used.

Who can invite

You need to be a project owner or admin, on a paid plan, to invite people. Project members can't send invites, and on a free account the Invite people button doesn't appear.

Sending an invite

On the project Info tab, find the People section and click Invite people, then:

  1. Enter a Name or email — this is just a note for your own reference about who the link is for.
  2. Click Create invite link.
  3. Copy it with Copy link, or use Copy link with note to grab a pre-written message you can paste into a text or email.

Send the link however you like. When the person opens it, they can join your project.

Everyone you invite joins as a member, whatever you intend them to end up as. To make someone an admin, invite them first and change their role once they're in — see Project roles and what each can do.

Warning: invite links aren't tied to an email address — anyone who has the link can use it to join your project. Share them like you'd share a password.

What the person you invite sees

  • Already on Dosido: the link takes them to Home, where a card shows that you invited them and to which project. They click Join and the project's name, and they're in.
  • New to Dosido: the link opens a page saying you've invited them. They enter their email, get a magic code, set up their name and username, and then see the same Join card on Home. See Creating your Dosido account.

Managing pending invites

Each invite is a single-use link that expires after 7 days. Open the Pending invites tab to see the ones still outstanding — that tab is owners and admins only, the same as inviting itself.

To pull a link back before it's used, click Revoke. Revoking works on any invite that's still live; once a link has been accepted, expired, or already revoked there's nothing left to take back, and removing the person who used it is a separate job — see Removing someone and leaving a project.

Unlike sending an invite, revoking one isn't tied to your account plan. An owner or admin can always clean up outstanding links.

There's no resend. If a link expires, generate a fresh one.
