Troubleshooting Dosido for macOS

What to check when a bounce doesn't open the upload window, stalls, or won't upload.

A bounce didn't open the upload window

Check these, in order:

  • Is Dosido running? Its icon should be in your menu bar. If it isn't, open Dosido from Applications.
  • Are you signed in? The menu bar menu shows Logged in as your name. If it shows Sign in… instead, sign in.
  • Is accessibility on? If the menu shows Finish setting up Dosido…, choose it and turn accessibility back on. Without it, Dosido can't read your DAW's export window.
  • Is Automatically upload new bounces checked? When it's off, Dosido doesn't open the upload window.
  • Did you export from Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, or Pro Tools? Bounces from other apps aren't picked up.

You can upload any bounce Dosido missed with Upload a bounce… in the menu bar.

"Upload interrupted"

If your connection drops mid-upload, the window says Upload interrupted. Your bounce is safe on your Mac — click Try Again. Dosido already retries on its own through brief network hiccups, so you'll usually only see this if the connection stays down.

If the window says Something went wrong with only a Close button, close it and upload the file with Upload a bounce….

"This bounce is taking longer to finish writing than expected"

Dosido waits for your DAW to finish writing the file before uploading it. If the file keeps changing for too long, Dosido stops waiting and shows this message. Your file is safe on your Mac — once the export has finished, upload it with Upload a bounce….

"Couldn't load the upload form"

The upload window loads its form from Dosido. If it can't, check your connection and try again — or upload the bounce on the website instead. See Uploading tracks and versions.

The Ableton connection won't finish

  • "macOS blocked the install" — turn on Dosido under Privacy & Security → App Management, then click Try again.
  • Stuck on "Watching for the Control Surface…" — in Live, open Settings → Tempo & MIDI and make sure DOSIDO is chosen as a Control Surface.
  • You have Live 11 or earlier — connecting needs Ableton Live 12. Your bounces still upload; you enter tempo and key yourself.
  • The menu says Restart Ableton Live to update Dosido — quit and reopen Live.
