Using Dosido with CarPlay and Siri

Play your project's tracks through CarPlay, react from the car's screen, and comment or react with Siri while a track is playing.

CarPlay

With your iPhone connected to CarPlay, Dosido shows up with two tabs:

Tracks — the tracks in your current project, most recently updated first. It uses the same Status filter you've set on the project's Tracks page, so hidden tracks don't appear unless you've checked Hidden there.
Playlists — the playlists you can see in your current project, most recently updated first. Tap one to see its tracks.

Tap a track to play it. When it finishes, the next track in the same list plays, and the skip buttons move back and forward through that list.

Warning: CarPlay shows your current project only, and you can't switch projects from the car. Before you drive off, tap the project name at the top of the app and pick the one you want.

Reacting from the Now Playing screen

The Now Playing screen has four reaction buttons: ❤️ 🔥 👏 🙏. Tap one to react to the version that's playing. The reactions you've added are highlighted; tap a highlighted one to take it back. Reactions show up for the rest of the project the same as reactions added anywhere else.

Audio quality

The ··· button on the Now Playing screen opens Audio Quality:

Original (full resolution) — the file as it was uploaded.
Streaming (faster start) — a streaming copy that starts playing sooner.

This is the same setting as Original Quality in the player's ··· menu on your phone. Changing it in one place changes it in both.

Siri

While a track is playing in Dosido, you can comment on it or react to it by voice. This works from CarPlay, from AirPods, or from the phone, and Siri doesn't open the app.

Commenting

Say "Comment on this track in Dosido". Siri asks for your comment, reads it back, and asks whether to send it. Say yes and it's posted as a reply to the version that's playing, the same as replying to that version in the track's Feed.

You can also say "Leave a comment in Dosido" or "Comment on what's playing in Dosido".

Reacting

Say "React with fire in Dosido", naming the reaction you want: heart ❤️, fire 🔥, clap 👏, thanks 🙏, or headphones 🎧. Or say "React to this track in Dosido" and Siri asks which one.

Reacting by voice only adds a reaction. If you've already added that one, Siri tells you and leaves it as it is. To take a reaction back, tap it on the CarPlay screen or in the app.

Tip: Siri only works on what's playing. If nothing is playing in Dosido, Siri says so. Start a track and try again.

Who can do this

Any project member can comment and react, from CarPlay, Siri, or anywhere else in Dosido.
