Editing, moving, and deleting versions
Everything about a single version lives on its own page. Rename it, write its notes, credit its producers, fix its details, move it to another track, or delete it.
Opening a version
On a track's page, click a version in the Versions panel. Or open the track's Versions page — click the version count under the track's title, or View all → in the panel — and click any row.
Editing a version
Any project member can edit a version. Everything on the page is edited in place: click it, change it, and it saves.
- Name — click the version's name at the top of the page. What you type is what shows:
1,1.1,Demo,Final Mix. - Notes — click under Notes and write what changed or what to listen for. Enter starts a new line; click Save or press ⌘-Enter when you're done.
- Credits — type in Add a producer… to credit someone in the project, or remove anyone already credited.
- Artist, BPM, and Key — under Details. Setting an artist here credits this version only; see Artist names. Duration comes from the file and can't be changed.
Tip: editing the featured version changes what the whole track displays. Editing any other version only affects that version until it's featured.
Moving a version to another track
On the version's page, open the three-dot menu at the top right and choose Move version. Search for the track it belongs on, then click Move version. You can move a version to any track in the same project, and any project member can do it.
If you move a track's last version, that track is removed, and its old link redirects to wherever the version went.
Downloading a version
Open the three-dot menu and choose Download to save the version's original audio file.
Deleting a version
Open the three-dot menu, choose Delete version, and confirm. Deleting can't be undone, and you land back on the track's Versions page.
Any project member can delete a version, as long as it isn't the track's only one — Delete version doesn't appear when a track has just one version. If you delete the featured version, the track features its most recent remaining version instead, and any pin is cleared.
Note: tracks themselves can't be deleted. To get one out of the way, set its status to Hidden — see Track statuses.
